In 2005, I worked nights at a factory, unsatisfied and dreaming of a career for which I found passion. My life changed in December of that year when my first niece, Maddee Kate, was born. I discovered a new kind of love. I, also, discovered that I was obsessed with taking photos of her. God lit a fire in me. He showed me a way out.
I packed my Jeep, with my few possessions and my two cats. We headed to Nashville, and I enrolled in a top-notch Photography school. I had no job and no clue about how this was going to work. Still, in my heart, I felt unafraid, this was what I was supposed to do and I loved every second of the experience!
I finished school, with honors, and returned home in 2009. My camera stayed hot. I was shooting babies, families, high school seniors, weddings, birthday parties and even funerals. Okay, technically, it was a celebration of life. No casket, no funeral home.
Another surprise was in store in 2017, I got married! Thank you, God! Josh completes me. I know, how cheesy, but seriously…He loves Jesus, big time, he keeps me grounded and focused. I love the big ole’ teddy bear, goofball that he is, keeping me laughing, bringing me to a new level of fun. You, too, are going to love him!
In 2018, Josh accompanied me to a photography conference. He was immediately interested in the business and marketing component of photography. Since, that conference, LKP has been OUR business. Josh handles the business and I am free to be an artist. Thank you, God!!
Since 2018, In addition to doubling our assets, we narrowed our focus on High School seniors and families. To be total transparent, it’s just my favorite things to shoot.
We love watching a kid become more confident during experiences with LKP. We love watching a family laugh together during their LKP photo session. We look forward to getting to know you and creating magic together!
